I'm your regular, run-of-the-mill, proudly Canadian mom of two (a boy and a girl). I'm a clinical psychologist by trade and run a busy practice in Burlington, Ontario. I love the work I do and it also allows me to set my schedule so that I can pick up my children a few days a week from school, as well as pursue all the million hobbies that fascinate me. I think it's pretty much impossible as a mother not to feel guilty and feel like you're failing (whether you're working or staying at home, or doing both), but I set my sights on balance and self-compassion as much as I can. It's definitely a work in progress!
